Kylian Mbappé is one of the most famous footballers of his generation. Born on 20 December 1998 in Paris, France, Mbappé grew up in the Paris suburb of Bondy in a sporting family. He developed his football skills at AS Bondy before joining the prestigious Clairefontaine academy and later moving to AS Monaco.
Mbappé made his senior debut for Monaco and quickly became a major talent. During the 2016–17 season, he helped Monaco win the Ligue 1 title and attracted attention from Europe’s biggest clubs. In 2017, he moved to Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), where he developed into one of the world’s leading goal scorers. He became PSG’s all-time leading scorer during his time at the club before joining Real Madrid in 2024.

Mbappé’s highest goal-scoring performance in a single competitive match came for PSG against Pays de Cassel in the 2022–23 Coupe de France. He scored five goals in PSG’s 7–0 victory, becoming the first player in PSG history to score five times in an official match.
He has also scored four goals in a match on several occasions. For Real Madrid, he scored four against Olympiacos in the Champions League in November 2025.
For France, his highest single-match tally is also four goals, achieved against Kazakhstan in an 8–0 World Cup qualifying victory in November 2021.
Mbappé has also produced memorable World Cup performances, including a hat-trick against Argentina in the 2022 World Cup final. His speed, finishing, movement and consistency have made him a central figure in modern football.
